Spokane opened the game with energy, holding Columbia Basin to just six points in the first quarter and taking a 15–6 lead. The Sasquatch controlled the pace early, forcing tough shots and capitalizing inside to build momentum on their home floor.
Columbia Basin responded in the second quarter, outscoring Spokane 18–8 to even the game heading into halftime. The visitors carried that momentum into the third quarter, where both teams traded baskets and finished the period tied at 18 apiece.
The decisive stretch came in the fourth quarter, as Columbia Basin pulled away with a 20-point frame. Spokane battled down the stretch but struggled to find consistency offensively, shooting just 31.9 percent from the field for the game.
Howard led all scorers for Spokane with 22 points while adding 16 rebounds for a dominant performance in the paint. Journee Brooks chipped in 13 points, and Alahondra Perez added six. Spokane held an advantage at the free-throw line, going a perfect 8-for-8, but was unable to overcome shooting struggles from beyond the arc, finishing 2-for-19 from three-point range.
