Spokane battled throughout Wednesday night's NWAC matchup, but Wenatchee Valley used a strong second half to pull away for an 89–77 win at Spokane.
The Sasquatch came out sharp early, taking a 22–19 lead after the first quarter behind balanced scoring and active defense. Spokane continued to trade baskets in the second, going into halftime tied at 44 as both teams shot efficiently and pushed the tempo.
Wenatchee Valley began to separate in the third quarter, outscoring Spokane 22–14 to take control of the game. Despite continued effort from the Sasquatch, the visitors maintained momentum in the fourth, closing out the contest with consistent scoring and timely stops.
Ayeris Jones led Spokane with 18 points, adding four rebounds and three assists, while Journee Brooks chipped in 14 points. Alahondra Perez finished with 13 points, seven rebounds, and three assists, and Karis Santucci provided a spark off the bench with 13 points on an efficient 5-of-5 shooting performance. Camia Howard anchored the paint with 10 rebounds to go along with eight points and three assists.
Spokane won the rebounding battle 41–26, but Wenatchee Valley capitalized on perimeter shooting and trips to the free-throw line to keep control down the stretch.
