The Spokane volleyball team fell in three sets to Yakima Valley on Friday night at the Sasquatch's home court, dropping the match 24–26, 21–25, 18–25.
The opening set set the tone for a competitive night. Spokane battled point-for-point, pushing the Yaks to extra points before narrowly falling 26–24. In the second, Spokane kept the margin close but couldn't quite find the rhythm to break through, dropping the frame 25–21. Yakima Valley closed out the match in the third, pulling away late to seal the sweep with a 25–18 finish.
Despite the loss, Spokane showed flashes of momentum in key rallies and will look to bounce back as conference play continues.
Sasquatch look ahead to host Blue Moutain on Wed, Sept 24th at 6:00 PM.
