Sasquatch Women Display Determination in Competitive Field at Willamette
The Sasquatch women continued to show progress and grit at the Charles Bowles Willamette Invitational, battling through a competitive 5k course and building momentum for the weeks ahead.
The women's cross country team showcased their determination and team spirit at the 50th Charles Bowles Willamette XC Invitational, held on October 4th in Salem, Oregon. Competing in a challenging 5k race, the team put forth a commendable effort against a strong field of competitors.
Leading the Sasquatch was Nevaeh Jasso, who delivered a solid performance with a time of 19:00.50, securing 78th place. Her impressive run set the pace for her teammates and demonstrated her leadership on the course.
Melissa Walker followed with a time of 19:25.4, earning her 106th place. Her consistent pace and determination were evident as she navigated the course.
Courage Hightree crossed the finish line in 124th place, clocking in at 19:49.50. Her effort was closely followed by Lana Fletcher, who finished in 126th place with a time of 19:51.8, and Jocelyn Serrano, who completed the race in 128th place with a time of 19:52.2.
The team's collective performance highlighted their resilience and commitment to improving with each race. As they continue their season, the experience gained from this invitational will undoubtedly contribute to their growth and success in future competitions.
